Many problems in the home are a direct result of poor communication. While both both husband and wife are responsible to communicate truthfully, effectively and biblcally with each other, the husband is the head of the household and thus carries the primary responsibility in ensuring that communication is taking place in the home. On this episode we will be talking about (Listening)Do not assume you know what your spouse is thinking. Do not assume that you know your spouses motives or opinions regarding a situation without first communicating and receiving the necessary information verbally. Remember, only God know the heart. Lust-Why is it so dangerous

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/marriage4life1/2014/04/09/why-is-lust-such-a-dangerous-tendency-craving-passiondesire

Lust can destroy any normal desire. Craving or lusting is more than inappropriate sexual desire. It can be an unnatural or greedy desire for anything (sports, knowledge, possessions, influence over others). In this circumstance, God punished the Israelites for craving good food! Their desire was not wrong; the sin was in allowing that desire to turn into greed. They felt it was their right to have fine food, and they could think of nothing else. When you become preoccupied with something until it affects your perspective on everything else, you have moved from desire to lust.

A Rare Woman-Interview with Florence Worsham

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/marriage4life1/2014/04/12/a-rare-woman-interview-florence-worsham

Who would have ever thought it? From a young child growing up, Flo always sensed tremendous change would someday take place in her life, but she never knew when. Florence Logan Worsham grew up in Halifax County, Virginia as the youngest among six siblings. Her mother became pregnant nine times but three children died at birth…with Flo still being the youngest. In that respect, she always knew within herself - if you were born on this earth - you have a purpose. What the heck is purpose anyway?
To some, the word lights a fire in their belly because they truly understand what it means to live life with a purpose or calling. Others will cringe at the word... what a silly word, purpose. They doubt that everyone (including themselves) has a purpose or that things really do happen for a reason. in this Broadcast Edition we will be speaking with Florence Worsham A Rare Woman that has a true purpose in Life and that is going somwwhere.

Overcoming Anxieties In Your Marriage

Behind many worries and fears is death. No one likes to admit this because they do not have any way of handling death and its fears.

God knows that as long as we fear death, we cannot be free to live for Him. Powerful truths are shared throughout this article to inspire us to be one of God's overcomers of anxiety.  Real life stories of a recent Christian facing death boldly is an important principle to overcoming the anxieties in your life and marriage.  And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span?
"If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why are you anxious about other matters? Luke 12:25,26

Let us tell you this story about a man that was married for over 26 years; left his home to be out there in the world to be with other women; caught AIDS and brought it back to his WIFE. Everything in his life growing up depended on walking with God until one day He was tempted by the enemy. This gentleman walked out on his family; slept around with so many women; and contracted AIDS. One day he came home to his wife and slept with her. Several years went by; while still out in the street got very sick and was rushed to the hospital in intensive care with no insurance. The doctors took care of him and told him that he was too far gone for them to do any thing. The doctors told the children what type of disease he had and the children went crazy. Several days after the incident they had to find some way to get their mother to the doctor to have her tested and for sure the test came back that she had the disease. Talking about Oversoming Anxieties; this woman who had so much faith in God did not want to live. Several Months go by and the father passes away. Now; left with carrying the disease and the obstacles of not understanding; because this is the only man that she had ever slept with. The question is WHY?

We are not sure how many times you were caught worrying: a disease, a test, a wife, a husband, a friend, an appointment, meeting a stranger, being in danger, etc. The list goes on and on. We suppose if each of us made a list of the things we have worried over, we would be really surprised. Surprised at what? Mostly surprised that Jesus' observation is true in every case. Worry never, never helps.

Be an  Overcomer or overcome? Your decision. God has made the victory possible through Jesus Christ.

Our goal for this story was to give you a testimony to share with your friends and family. Remember to thank God by telling other people how He has helped you overcome your own anxieties!

As we explore God's truths from the scriptures, we are challenged to live in God's amazing peace. As rumors of war, economic setbacks, disease, and terrorism impact our lives along with the many other concerns of life, murder, lying, cheating, etc; these truths become all important. We get to see and experience God's love and holiness in a very practical way.

Oneness and Unity!!

Philippians 2:2 - Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind.
Have you watched any of the sports teams this year? The sports teams are amazing and some are incredible. It takes skill, practice and team work to accomplish greatness. IWe love hearing the announcers say that a team was not selfish and had learned the art of working together. They knew if they all won, then they won as an individual. They had the concept of oneness and unity. The teams that didn’t have that concept did poorly and you can see how  they blamed each other for their fall. You also could see certain team members standing out and being somewhat selfish in their behaviors. The difference between those teams that worked together and those that didn’t are astounding.

Did you know that marriage is a team sport? You either win together or you lose together. It takes a while for couples to get that concept. In the beginning of marriages, couples seem to want to compete against each other. If something needs to be done, they take account of who had done the most work that day or who did the chore last and then they would argue about who was carrying the most responsibility in the relationship. This is not playing as a team. This is division and divide is what we did. The selfishness runs deep and is frequently the foundation for a good argument. Some couples do not know what it means to work together and be in unity. We are quite certain that this attitude is the most contributing factor in the break of most relationships. Selfishness  is the  part of most  marriages.

We know for sure that if  you work as a team helping  each other out; you will know more and more about your spouse.  If one  cooks the other is theree to help clean up the dishes. If he/she is doing the laundry, he/she could fold the clothes when they came out of the dryer. If he/she went to change the sheets on the bed, you could be there  to help. Day by day wyou can learn to share the responsibilities and work together. When you learn that sharing the load is so much easier than fighting over who did what or worse yet, letting one  do the majority of the work and then allowing resentment to set in. Just like being on a sports team, you have learned the art of oneness and unity. It feels good to be a winning team.
Marriage is a team sport. You either win together or you lose together. How are you doing in your marriage? Do you work together as a team or do you work against each other? Maybe it’s time to sit down and communicate about how you can be a better team and win at this thing called marriage

The Power of Words in Your Marriage!

Jesus teaches us about words
Matthew 12:33-37.
Our words carry the power of life or death.

Lets look together at 5 areas of communication
WORDS transmit powerIn Matt 12:33-37 it tells us the power our words have.
It also explains that we will have to give an account someday for the words we speak.
Remember that God shaped the world through words. He performed miracles through the use of His words.
God has now created us to accomplish things by wise use of our words.

What is your language like around others?
Power goes out when you speak whether good or bad.

WORDS reveal our characterIn Matt 12:33-35 it states how the good man and the evil man speaks.
We do not want to consider couples evil however, We will be honest. They speak harsh words sometimes with each other. They tend to be very critical about things and feel very bad after they have spoken.
This is a huge indicator that they need to ask God to help renew their heart and forgive them of their words. They then ask each other for forgiveness.
Some people were raised in a very critical family and words did more harm then good.
This is an area today in most christian couples walk that they struggle with.
It helps us to remember daily that: Our words shape our marriage daily!
"For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks"

WORDS determine our reward or
judgement. Matthew 12:36-37
This is to the point in scripture: We will be held responsible in the end for our words.

WORDS produce fruit.Matthew 12:33 says we can either make a tree have good fruit or bad fruit.
We have huge influence in the way our marriage grows based on our words!
Our marriage is shaped by our words and deserve Gods best!
WORDS shape anothers destinyTake time and pray about your words this week. Then go a step further and watch how you communicate with others. If you need to apologize for harsh words, We encourage you to do so right at that time. God will begin to help you in your communication!

The Need of Trust

No book has affected our  life more than the Song of Solomon.
Fulfillment of personal need in journey of lifeFor any book to so impact a person’s life is good but rare. Usually, a book ends with its reading. God’s Word, however, provides an unending mine of riches enabling us to dig for whatever we need. Song of Solomon contains nuggets of gold that unlock the mystery of love and trust. These nuggets are the keys to a growing marriage.
In other Bible books, we have commands and illustrations that tell us how to have a good marriage. If we would obey them, we would do well.
But there are things that keep us from having confidence in those commands that they really work. We shouldn’t have this perspective, but many do. They are the same people who point out all the problems occurring in the marriages around them.

There are so many marriage problems surfacing that one wonders how the world has endured this long. Each week we are made aware of another layer of significant marital difficulties in the people around us. Your experience is probably similar. We would have suffered the same condition had it not been for the power of God’s Word that was revealed during times of meditation on His book. Studying  the Song of Solomon, thanks to the prompting of the Spirit of God, we did. Our life has been greatly changed.
We must admit not all the changes and impact came immediately, but what will be shared below are the truths that set a foundation by which all the changes could be made. Maybe you wonder what is it that made such a difference in our life.
Poisoned Relationships
www.marriage4lifeinstitute.com
Everyone wants acceptance, and we were no different. Relationships enable a person to see himself/herself from a different perspective. Loving relationships enable a person to look through the other person’s eyes at his/her own life and get a more accurate picture.

We have  learned about warmth and acceptance growing up. Divorce, bitterness and criticism left us emotionally crippled.  These problems are becoming more common in children as more marriages are going downhill.

The Song of Solomon came into our life like a breath of fresh air. Helping to unlock the ideas in that book was reading and getting understanding. It was the same truth that God began to vividly teach us in the scriptures–God’s love.

Only God’s grace and wisdom has kept us from being another statistic. Let us go on and share how He did this. We may be oversimplifying the process, but the keys that unlocked certain doors of understanding in our life ushered us into places we never would otherwise have been able to reach. You can get there too. t’s first pray.
“Dear Lord, would you please break through our stubborn and blind hearts. We don’t deserve your love. We can’t even understand it. Much like the sun, it is so bright that we have put on sunglasses and keep out of its light. We have learned to live in the shadows of darkness rather than the glories of your love. Bring us close, dear Lord, bring us closer to you that we in turn could have great marriages. In Christ’s Glorious Name we pray, Amen."
